Skin ideas.
This idea puts the emphasis on the artists Voice in the community. Upper left would be quotes from art league artists. Sub bar would ask for contributions from viewer of site.
COLOR WHEEL Really like idea of a color wheel as emblem of site. People/color/art combining in infinite ways. Would use on home page and though out. Bar over logo repeats color spectrum.
BULLETIN BOARD
This idea continues voice of artist in community, but carries it further graphically. Elements are presented as though on a bulletin board at a school or studio. Content and logo would look printed on board itself and would stay very clean. Board would be very close to white in color. Pinpricks etc.
CREATIVE PROCESS
This idea uses artwork, but not complete finished artwork; rather it uses the roughs and colors mixes artists start with when beginning to create their individual art. Watercolor pools of color, splotches and smears of oil color mixes, pencil studies and gradations. Outlines of content boxes would follow this idea but in a very subtle limited way.
The creative process idea was inspired by a website I found. It's actually one of those website/blogs published by a decorator. The watercolors she featured on this page are so beautiful and fluid. Link to the fabric artist's page was amazing. I'd been really trying to get to a circle type idea, but I don't think it's right for the needs of DAL. Would have to be Flash.
